Rod Senft
FounderRod holds his Bachelor of Commerce and LLB from the University of Manitoba. Prior to founding Areva with Hamid and Adel, Rod founded Tricor Pacific Capital Inc. Over his career, Rod has been a direct, active investor in a number of residential, industrial and retail projects. He has a passion for real estate that dates back to his university years, when he successfully developed resort properties in Lake of the Woods, Ontario.
For many years, Rod was a partner with a leading Vancouver law firm, where he led their real estate practice. He eventually moved on to building companies with a focus not just on growing the business, but also developing and empowering the people working there.
Today Rod serves as Vice Chairman of the Fraser Institute, and is also active in numerous philanthropic endeavours, including serving on the Board of Directors of a world-class cancer research group at Vancouver General Hospital.

Hamid Ahmadian
FounderHamid’s focus has been on real estate over the past decade. Prior to teaming up with Adel and Rod to create Areva, Hamid owned and managed a construction and property development company, and led smaller-scale development projects through the entire real estate development value chain. He is a chartered professional accountant, a certified management accountant, a Wesbrook Scholar, and holds a Bachelor in Civil Engineering and an MBA, both from UBC. Hamid recently completed Harvard Business School’s Program in Leadership Development.
In addition to being a dedicated father of a young family, Hamid sat on the City of Vancouver’s Development Permit Board Advisory Panel from 2015–2018. He volunteers with several non-profit organizations, including the Institute for Canadian Citizenship.

Adel Bellemlih
FounderAdel holds a Master in Civil Engineering and an Advanced Master in Strategy and Management of International Business. Having worked in 15 countries, he brings to Areva over 20 years of experience in the technical, legal, commercial and financial aspects of complex real estate and major public infrastructure developments. Before co-founding Areva Living, Adel was the VP of Business Development in Canada for the Bouygues Construction group ($50 billion in sales across 80 countries), and has led the development of over $800 million worth of construction projects in Vancouver and other parts of Canada.
Since 2015, Adel has been volunteering with Pathways Serious Mental Illness Society, a local non-profit organization.
“My wife and I have young children. And to some extent we are doing our projects for people like us: people who do dishes and laundry and go to work and drive their kids around. At this point in our lives, we have a good insight into what a good home means, what it represents, and how important it is.”
Shawn Lewis
PartnerAs CEO and Managing Partner of Tricor Pacific Capital, Shawn is involved in overseeing Areva’s real estate investments, providing guidance on opportunities and developing relationships for new business.
Prior to joining Tricor, Shawn worked for 15 years at Stern Partners, a Vancouver-based private investment firm, where he was Vice President and General Counsel. In addition to overseeing legal matters for the group, he assisted with acquisitions and dispositions, corporate development and finance, and on-going business and strategic matters for the group’s companies.
Prior to Stern Partners, Shawn practised law for six years at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York. He was a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group and Private Equity Group and his practice focused on domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and other general corporate matters.
Shawn studied law at McGill University where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.). He also obtained a Bachelor of Science (Architecture) from McGill University’s School of Architecture.
Shawn is active in various community and philanthropic organizations.
Anne Stewart
Senior AdvisorAnne is a seasoned lawyer and is pleased to bring her legal expertise to the Areva team. In her years as partner at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, she acted on major real estate and infrastructure projects.
Anne was honoured with the YMCA Vancouver Women of Distinction Award in “Business and the Professions” in 2017, and was named Best Lawyers’ 2016 Vancouver Corporate Governance Practice “Lawyer of the Year”.
Anne is a Dame of the Order of St. John. She is active in various professional, community and charitable organizations, including the Minerva Foundation for BC Women. Through her mentorship and guidance, Anne supports leadership development, particularly for young professional and executive women.
Lisa Oleson
Chief Financial OfficerLisa has been working with Rod, Anne, Hamid and Adel for a number of years, and is pleased to bring her accounting excellence to Areva.
In the years following her graduation from Laurentian with her Bachelor of Commerce, Lisa gained financial management experience in various industries, working in a leading Canadian financial services company, and as a controller at a private firm whose revenues nearly tripled during her tenure.
Lisa obtained her Certified Professional Accounting designation in 2015, graduating with honours. She volunteers annually at the Woodward Harvest Dinner and is a supporter of the Ride to Survive, where participants cycle from Kelowna to Delta in one day to raise funds for cancer research and treatments. When she’s not counting beans for the team, Lisa enjoys yoga, travel and outdoor adventures with her family.

As Areva’s Construction Manager, Nami combines theory and practice through his education in architecture and over twenty years of construction management experience. His attention to detail, team oriented mentality and willingness to apply creative solutions to complex challenges brings a highly important and unique set of skills to the Areva Team.
Ryan Rohani
Development & AcquisitionsRyan holds a BA in Economics and has worked in real estate on the lower mainland for over ten years. Before joining Areva, Ryan was the acquisitions manager of a Vancouver-based real estate development firm with over $800 million in developments across BC and Alberta. He brings his deep experience in the brokerage, syndication and acquisition side of real estate to his role at Areva.
Ryan was appointed by City Council in 2018 to sit as a member of the advisory panel to the Development Permit Board of the City of Vancouver.
Gary Grewal
ControllerGary joined the Areva team as senior accountant, and manages the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial reporting. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and is in the process of completing his Chartered Professional Accountant designation. Before he joined Areva, Gary supported businesses with automation, strategic planning, process optimization and financial forecasting. During these years, Gary worked with Canadian companies operating in North America and the Caribbean across industries such as telecommunications, transportation, real estate development, financial services, personal services, and manufacturing.
When Gary isn’t at work or spending time with his wife and two children, you can find him exploring his fascination with history.
Jackson Ng
Marketing & SalesJackson brings years of real estate sales and marketing experience to Areva. He enjoys working with a team that is committed to conducting its work ethically, transparently, and with a focus on human betterment.
Jackson graduated from UBC in 2010, then moved to Australia, where he worked with a real estate development firm. He brought his knowledge back to Canada, obtaining his real estate license in Vancouver in 2012. Beginning with his first home in 2013, Jackson has been involved in the sale of hundreds of properties, including leading the sales and marketing on various single and multifamily projects in Vancouver and Surrey, and overseeing land assemblies and acquisitions for developers across the lower mainland. Jackson is a member of the Medallion Club of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver.
When he isn’t serving the Areva team, Jackson volunteers as an assistant basketball coach with local high school groups.
Jean-Jacques Brossier
Senior AdviserJean-Jacques’ 30 year career working on major public and private projects in the construction industry has spanned the globe. This has enabled him to live in France, Tahiti, Argentina, Cuba, Panama and over the last decade, Canada.
His experience working for international and local companies extends from on site responsibilities – Director of Construction on $100+ million projects with Vinci and with Bouygues Construction – to pre-construction roles, as Director of Bids and Business Development with both Bouygues Construction and Graham Construction.
These experiences in various types of environments have forged his personal and professional values and helped him earn the respect of his peers in the industry. JJ has a passion for fairness and making win-win deals, project and process optimization, creativity and out of the box thinking.
He graduated from France’s prestigious Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées – in 1990.
